Get quotes from lenders in your state
Rates are set lender by lender, and they vary by state. Answer a few questions and we'll match you with a lender or broker who can quote you directly. Checking won't affect your credit score.
Why your rate may differ
- Credit score
- Higher scores usually get lower rates. The gap between fair and excellent credit can be large.
- Down payment
- Putting more down lowers the lender's risk, and can drop mortgage insurance.
- Loan type and term
- 15-year loans usually price lower than 30-year. FHA, VA and jumbo loans each price differently.
- Points
- Paying points up front buys a lower rate. Survey averages can include some points.
- Your state and lender
- Rates and fees vary by lender and by state. Comparing a few quotes is the surest way to a good one.
